Response to Citizen Four Documentary

This response is going to be about a documentary we watch in class called "Citizen Four" directed by Laura Poitras . It's about how the NSA (National Security Agency) is taking information from people who live in the USA. This information is everything they do online. Edward Snowden, who worked for  the NSA, felt like the government was invading people's privacy by tracking everything they do. He tells the reporters that the NSA is growing. One of the phone companies that he says that NSA is asking information is Verizon. He says that Verizon is betraying their customers. Why wouldn't we believe him? He woks for them and he put himself at risk for spilling all this information. He is a very smart person from what I observed. When using a computer with a camera he covered his face with a red blanket. By doing so, the NSA can't identify him if they were tracking him. He also told the reporters to never leave the same SIM card in the computer, because it can make it easier for the NSA to get a hold of information. He gave them information that even I was surprised when he said that they had drones flying around and they could just put a code and look at every drone there is out there. Personally, I applaud Edward for doing what he did. He opened the eyes of many people who had no idea of what the NSA was doing. Also people who lied about them not getting information from phone providers. Edward Snowden is someone to remember and wherever he is I hope he is happy and proud of what he did.
