Response to "The Snitch In Your Pocket"

This response is about going to be on the article “The Snitch in Your Pocket” written by Michael IsIkoff. It gives us information about how the government are requisitioning the location of billions of people live, which is their exact location at that exact time. It shows how this action can help deal with criminals but also how it’s bad and can cause conflicts. Some of the biggest phone companies are betraying their customers and giving information to the government. Some of those phone companies are AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint.

Some of the article is that it shows both the positive and the negative of these actions. The FBI has capture many criminals by using this methods. Yes, I agree that it’s a good idea to use this to fight crime. It will help decrease all the crime in certain areas. The article says that The Justice department doesn’t keep statistics on requests for cell-phone data, according to Isikoff article. I really liked the title of the article because it keeps you curious as of what it will be about. By making us curious it will make more people read the article just because, the title was interesting. I really liked the first 6 paragraphs because they gave information in an order that all made sense and it was easier to comprehend the argument.

These article also has negative parts which I find that I got lost when it started to say what happened with lawyer Gidari’s client. I would’ve loved an example of what happened to a client and was wrongly followed or tracked. I feel like they could’ve organized the last few paragraphs more perhaps made the article longer and given more details, statistics and eye witness experiences.

Overall this article is informative for the audience. It gives information that I  was not even aware of before reading this article.
